Mary Jane Bodenhorn, 91

Mary Jane Bodenhorn, 91, County Acres Personal Care Home, Titusville, formerly of Punxsutawney, went to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 24, 2012.

She was born May 1, 1920, in Colombus, Ohio, the youngest daughter of the late James and Nannie Mae Sims.

She was the beloved wife of Paul N. Bodenhorn Sr., whom she married Jan. 26, 1943, and who preceded her in death Dec. 27, 1974.

Mrs. Bodenhorn had been a secretary for Canoe Township for 20 years and held many positions while living at Mahoning Towers.

She was a member of the Punxsutawney Presbyterian Church and the Daughters of the American Revoluntion (DAR), Punxsutawney chapter.

She enjoyed reading, ceramics, crossword puzzles and cross-stitch, as well as enjoying time with her family and friends.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Barbara Kennedy and husband Kenneth of Titusville; a son, Paul N. Bodenhorn Jr. of Sun City West, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Robert A. Danz III and wife Angel of Rossiter, Teresa A. Decker and husband Richard of Willow Street, and Kathy A. Danz of Lititz; and six great-grandchildren, Allie, Dabney, Dustin, Harley,Talon and Jackie.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; a daughter-in-law, Janice; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth.

Per her request, there will be no visitation.

Interment will be at Circle Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society or Hospice of Crawford County.
