Mary Georganne Riccardo, 92, Rossiter, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Jefferson Manor.

She was born Dec. 6, 1919, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Archibald and Jenny (Senott) Serian.

She married James Theodore Riccardo, who preceded her in death in 1998.

Mrs. Riccardo was a member of the Church of The Resurrection in Rossiter.

She worked as a nurse at the Adrian Hospital and later retired from the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She enjoyed cooking and cleaning.

Surviving relatives include a son, Leonard Joseph Riccardo of Rossiter; two grandsons, Lenny Riccardo Jr. of Desire and Kenny Riccardo of North Carolina; a great-grandson, Jason Riccardo; and a brother, Arch Serian and wife Phyllis of Rossiter.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jake Villella and Rose Buterbaugh.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at the funeral home, with the Very Reverend Lawrence Manchas officiating.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
