Mary E. London, 89

Mary E. London, 89, of Cortland, Ohio, formerly of Oliveburg, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio, after a recent fall at home.

She was born March 3, 1923, in Oliveburg, a daughter of the late Norman and Fern (Mitchell) Dinger Sr.

June 27, 1942, she married Paul E. London, who preceded her in death Sept. 19, 1996.

She enjoyed baking, working in the garden and spending time with her family.

Surviving relatives include four daughters, Judy Lundy and husband Joe of Cortland, Carole London of Montrose, Colo., Kathy Lahti and husband Maynard of Kinsman, Ohio, and Mary Ann Shaffer and husband Byron of Greenville; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Chambers and husband Robert of Punxsutawney; Betty Caylor and husband Paul of Huntersville, N.C., and Shirley Shaw and husband James of Aiken, S.C.; and two brothers, Paul Dinger and wife Lil of Warren, Ohio, and Norman Dinger Jr. and wife Erma of Punxsutawney.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Annabelle Caylor, Geneva Hoffman and Ruby Burkett; and two brothers, Darl Dinger and Billy Dinger.

Friends will be received from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the funeral home.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2012, at the Cortland Christian Church.

Interment will be at Oliveburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the Cortland Christian Church or the Warren Family Mission.
