Mary C. Strawcutter, 77, of Mayport, died early Tuesday morning, April 22, 2014, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born on May 4, 1936, in Punxsutawney, the daughter of Charles and Maize (Hilliard) Hull.

She was married on Oct. 30, 1954, to Melvin W. Strawcutter, and he survives.

In addition to her husband, Melvin, she is also survived by a daughter, Marlene Shick and husband John of Ringgold; two sons, Mervin Strawcutter and wife Mary and Mark Strawcutter and wife Nancy, both of Mayport; eight grandchildren; one step-grandson; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents and three infant brothers.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Steve Cassidy officiating.

Interment will be at the St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Ringgold Township, Jefferson County.
