Martha Irene (Zimmerman) Rehar, 78, Punxsutawney, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.

Mrs. Zimmerman was born May 3, 1932, in Henderson Township, a daughter of Walter and Ada (Weber) Zimmerman, who preceded her in death.

Feb. 16,1963, she married Luttie W. Rehar, who survives.

Mrs. Rehar was a graduate of Big Run High School, class of 1950. She was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish and the Rosary Society in Sykesville.

She retired from Christ the King Manor, where she worked in the housekeeping department and was known for her caring and loving attention to her work and the residents. Her greatest joys were housekeeping, gardening, baking, cooking and caring for her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Rehar is survived by three children, Marian (George) Essey of Charleroi, Timothy Rehar and wife Melissa of Reynoldsville, and Kevin Rehar of Punxsutawney; six grandchildren, Michael Wyvratt, Andrew
Wyvratt, Kayla Jo Rehar, Christopher Essey, Adan Rehar and Hannah Rehar; two
sisters, Dorothy Walls of Punxsutawney and Wilma Dubeck of DuBois; a niece Carol Adams; a nephew, Anthony Dubeck; and a great-niece, Michelle Hall.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 7, 2011, at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home, Sykesville. Friends will also be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011. The Rosary will be prayed at 2 p.m., and a Vigil
Service will be held at 8 p.m., both today at the funeral Home. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be held at 11a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church.

Interment will be at A.B.V.M. Catholic Church Cemetery, Sykesville.

Road, DuBois, PA 15801; or the charity of the donor’s choice.
