Martha Irene (Weaver) Alcorn, 93, Punxsutawney, formerly of Ringgold, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at Wellington Heights.

She was born May 29, 1918, in Ringgold, a daughter of the late Franklin and Nellie (Caylor) Weaver.

Dec. 9, 1939, she married Harry W. Alcorn, who preceded her in death May 14, 1992.

A homemaker, Mrs. Alcorn was a member of the Ringgold United Methodist Church.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Margie Lingenfelter and husband Bob of Ringgold, and Estella Miller and husband Bob of Brookville; a son, H. Beryl Alcorn and wife Betty of Brookville; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Mauk and Laura Shaffer.

Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Joan Rosseaux officiating.

Interment will be at Ringgold Cemetery.
