Mark A. Ferko Jr., 27, of Falls Creek, died Sunday, June 22, 2014, in Reynoldsville.

He was born July 2, 1986, in DuBois, the son of Mark A. Ferko of Sykesville and Kathy Y. Fincham of Youngstown, Ohio.

Mark is survived by a half brother, Michael Fincham of New Bern, North Carolina; a half sister, Jennifer Houston of Youngstown, Ohio; two nephews, Kyle and Connor Houston; his paternal grandparents, Michael and Louise Ferko of Falls Creek; and special friend Danielle Ritchie and children Lola and Kem of Reynoldsville.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.

Mark attended DuBois Area High School and graduated from Triangle Tech Falls Creek with an associate's degree in welding.

He worked as a welder for STAAR Distributing, LLC, of DuBois.

He was Catholic by faith.

Mark enjoyed skiing, snowboarding, gardening, fishing and doing yard work with his grandfather.

A private funeral service will be held at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home in Reynoldsville, officiated by Fr. Edward Walk.

Memorial contributions in Mark's memory can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1030 State St., Erie, PA 16501.
