Marion "Mimi" Lockard, 78

Marion "Mimi" Lockard, 78, Brookville, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at Clarion Hospital.

She was born April 13, 1933, in Chest Township, Clearfield County, a daughter of the late Harry C. and Thelma (Witherite) Smith.

Aug. 26, 1950, she married James T. Lockard, who survives.

Mrs. Lockard was a homemaker who enjoyed her family and friends. She also attended the Church of Christ in Brookville.

In addition to her husband, surviving relatives include a son, Jeffrey Lockard of Clarion; two daughters, Patty Acanfora and husband Nick of Hamburg, N.Y., and Sherrie Geist and husband Fran of Worthville; two brothers, David R. Smith of Coalport and Ray Smith and wife Mabel of Hamburg; a special family friend, Bruce Spencer; six step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Tommy; and three sisters, Arlene Smith, Norma Kauffman and Joann Smith.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at the McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at the funeral home with Evangelists John Otis and Charles Lockard Jr. officiating.

Interment will be at the Burnside Cemetery, Clearfield County.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ, 20 Hughey Rd., Brookville, Pa. 15825, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
