Marie P. Farcus, 93, Walston, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at her home.
She was born April 3, 1921, in Walston, a daughter of the late Samuel and Rachel (Bianco) Belott.

In January of 1938, she married John E. Farcus, who preceded her in death on March 25, 1968.

She was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church of Walston.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with her family and was always willing to lend a hand whenever it was needed.

She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.

She is survived by eight children; two daughters, Margaret Petrini and husband John of Punxsutawney and Jacquelyn Meholick and husband Paul of Sykesville; six sons, Steve Farcus of Walston, John Farcus and wife Patricia of Walston, William Farcus and wife Jean of Punxsutawney, George Farcus and wife Shirley of State College, Samuel Farcus of Walston and Robert Farcus of Walston; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, infant Mary Farcus and Anna Marie Curry; a twin brother, Peter Belott; and two sisters, Rose Gagliardi and Antionette Astorino.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Walston, with Monsignor Joseph Riccardo officiating.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Mrs. Farcus, may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
