Marie E. Pifer Postlewaite, 80

Marie E. Pifer Postlewaite, 80, of Erie, died Wednesday morning, Nov, 20, 2013, at St. Mary's Home East following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Reynoldsville on Nov. 22, 1932, a daughter of the late Irving G. and Euzela Rhodes Pifer.

Marie originally worked as an assembler at Marx Toys and went on to work with Smith Meter.

She enjoyed stamping, gardening, sewing, crocheting and knitting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Pritchard; one great-grandson, Adam Parris; and three brothers, Kenneth, Earl and Ray Pifer.

Survivors include one son, Gary Postlewaite and wife Rae of Waterford; one sister, Pauline Russ and husband Joe of Harborcreek; five grandchildren, Lydia Parris and husband Michael, Bryan Pritchard and wife Jessica, Sarah Postlewaite, Kevin Pritchard and Renee Pritchard; four great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Carter Parris, Hunter Pritchard and Brynley Mantini; a son-in-law, Clarence "Butch" Pritchard of Marion Center; her former husband, Richard Postlewaite; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at St. Phillip's United Methodist Church in Big Run.

Interment will follow at Big Run Cemetery.
