Margaret M. Moran, 72

Margaret M. Moran, 72, Ridgway, died peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at Elk Haven Nursing Home, after a long illness of rheumatoid arthritis.

She was born Aug. 24, 1938, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late James B. and Gertrude O. (O’conner) Quinlisk.

July 4, 1959, she married John T. Moran, who survives.

Mrs. Moran resided in Ridgway since 1967 and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church, the IU9 Advisory Committee, the PTA and the Eagles Club Auxillary.

She was a homemaker.

In addition to her husband, surviving relatives include two sons, Thomas J. Moran and wife Pam Gulnac and Timothy J. Moran, all of Ridgway; a step-grandson, Brian Gulnac and wife Danielle of Warren; four step-great-grandchildren, Marrisa, Brian, Alex, Lexi; a sister, Rita Klender and husband Dave of Punxsutawney; a sister-in-law, Barbara Quinlisk of Rochester, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Quinlisk.

There will be no visitation.

Mass of Christian Burial and Committal will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Kersey, with Fr. Eric Vogt, O.S.B., officiating.

Interment will follow at Oakmont Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ridgway Public Library, 329 Center St., Ridgway, Pa. 15853.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home, Ridgway.
