Margaret “Marge” L. (Parada) Brink, 86

Margaret “Marge” L. (Parada) Brink, 86, of Glen Campbell, Pa., died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

The daughter of Joseph M. and Anna H. (Korney) Parada, she was born on July 16, 1926, in Kilrun, Indiana County, Pa.

Marge was a member of the Church of the Resurrection, Glen Campbell.

A highlight of Marge’s life was her love for her family and the great enjoyment she received from being amidst her family during gatherings; meals and celebrations.

A homemaker in the true sense of the word, she liked cooking and baking for her family.

Every week, she looked forward to going on Sunday afternoon rides.

Marge married her late husband, Walter Brink, on June 28, 1947.

Surviving relatives include her five children, Anna Mae Strohmyer of Mentor, Ohio, Steve W. Brink of Mount Pleasant, Pa., Therese Pounds of Rochester Mills, Pa., Thomas Brink and wife Cyndee of Marlette, MI, and Jim Brink and wife Cindy of Glen Campbell; her 10 grandchildren, Derrick Krotine, Frank Strohmyer, Alison Dorogi, Laura Brink, Becky Szwalek, Chris Pounds, Brad Brink, Corey Brink, Chantel Brink, and Shayla Brink; and a sister, Ann Barwidi and husband John of Euclid, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter, on Aug. 30, 2008; her three brothers, Joseph, John and George Parada; and her sister, Ruth Collier.

A funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. today at the Church of the Resurrection in Glen Campbell, with the Rev. Fr. Timothy J. Kruthaupt officiating.

Interment will follow at the parish cemetery in Glen Campbell.
