Marcia L. (Reid) Etherson, 79, Cranberry Township, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

She was born Feb. 6, 1933, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Alexander P. and Virginia (Kellert) Reid.

On May 8, 1953, in DuBois, she married Francis T. Etherson.

She lived in St. Marys for more than 30 years and was a homemaker.

She was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church of St. Marys; a member of several bridge clubs and a local Quilt Guild; a volunteer knitter for the Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital Auxiliary; and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her husband, surviving relatives include two daughters, Stacey Etherson of Monroeville and Marcy Etherson of Cumberland, Md.; a son, Alex Etherson and wife Linda of Cranberry Township; three
grandchildren, Reid, Jacob and Julia Etherson; and a brother-in-law, Arthur Edwards.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lois “Jean” Edwards.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m., Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Circle Hill Cemetery.
