Mamie L. (Jarbeck) Bosak, 74

Mamie L. (Jarbeck) Bosak, 74, DeLancey, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born Sept. 22, 1937, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Michael and Madeline (Leba) Jarbeck.

She was married to Lawrence Bosak, who survives.

Mrs. Bosak was a homemaker and a graduate of St. Adrian Roman Catholic High School.

She was a lifelong member of St. Adrian Roman Catholic Church and a former president of its Rosary Altar Society and the church choir. She also maintained beautiful altars, as well as the church's annual festival.

Mrs. Bosak was the best wife, mother, grandmother and friend in the whole world. She was the best cook and at everything she put her hands to doing.

In addition to her husband, surviving relatives include three daughters, Jean Szumega and husband Mike of Floral Park, N.Y., Carol Dinsmore of Punxsutawney, and Jacqualine Bosak of DeLancey; three sons, Gerald Bosak of DeLancey, Stephen Bosak and wife Krista of Greensburg, and Thomas Bosak of DeLancey; four sisters, Pauline Headley of Michigan, Dorothy Matula of DuBois, Sylvia Hudascek of Ohio, and Helen Drayer of Nevada; and six grandchildren, Megan and Keri Dinsmore, Hali Ball, and Laura, Linsey and Nathan Bosak.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Shari; and two sisters, Clara Vitko and Veronica Anderson.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

The Rosary Altar Society will recite the Rosary at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, while an evening service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at St. Adrian Roman Catholic Church, DeLancey, with the Rev. Msgr. Joseph J. Riccardo officiating.

Interment will follow at the Anita-Adrian Roman Catholic Cemetery.

The family requests that donations in memory of Mrs. Bosak be made to St. Adrian's Roman Catholic Church, the American Cancer Society or the Punxsutawney Hospital Patient Care Fund.
