Jeanie Smith, age 9, of Punxsutawney donated 12 inches of her hair to "Wigs for Kids" on March 1, marking the fourth time she has done so.

She previously donated her hair for the same cause on April 16, 2011;
March 6, 2009; and May 15, 2007.

Jeanie is currently in fourth grade at Punxsutawney Area Middle School.

Jeanie believes that, even though she is only a child, she can help other children who need hair by donating her own.

All four times, Alicia Burkett, current owner of Alicia's Hair Cottage, cut Jeanie Smith's hair.

Jeanie is the daughter of Anna and Eugene Smith of Punxsutawney.

She is the granddaughter of Judy and Frank Boboige and Dorothy Smith of Punxsutawney.
