Make-a-wish quest to ‘Light up’ children’s lives is underway

The Make-A-Wish "Light Up a Child's Life" campaign got underway Monday in Punxsutawney.

The total amount raised as of 4 p.m. Monday was $9,385.43. Pictured are Al Lockwood (left) and Regina Good (right) of WPXZ Radio in Punxsutawney broadcasting live from the lobby of the Pantall Hotel.

Day two of the campaign begins this morning with the Make-A-Wish crew broadcasting live from Fox's Pizza Den on North Findley Street in Punxsy from 7 to 9 a.m.; then from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Pantall Hotel; and from Fox’s again from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Wish crew will also be broadcasting live from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Mulberry Square.

Broadcasts will include stories from wish kids, donors and Make-A-Wish volunteers.

Donors can make a donation by stopping by any remote location or by calling 877-284-9474.
