A three-vehicle accident occurred at the corner of Virginia Avenue and East Mahoning Street on Thursday afternoon.

Punxsy Borough Police said that a four-door Cadillac was stopped and waiting to turn onto Virginia Avenue, with another vehicle stopped behind.

The accident occurred when a 17-year-old juvenile — who police say was distracted and didn't notice that the cars were stopped — hit the the vehicle in front of him, which led that vehicle to hit the Cadillac.

The 17-year-old juvenile suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene.

The investigation continues.
