Saturday evening, Devin Mesoraco — an athlete who many remember watching play baseball in Punxsutawney as he grew up — was playing for the Cincinnati Reds in a game played in Pittsburgh. Throughout the day leading up to Saturday's night cap, though, some of Punxsy's youngest Major League hopefuls took to the field to begin their Machine Pitch League season. One of many athletes playing in the eight-team league this year, Easton Gula dons his catcher's gear and makes a throw to first after fielding a ball hit in front of the plate.
