Lynn Albert Davidson, 87

Lynn Albert Davidson, 87, of Punxsutawney, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born on Aug. 28, 1926, in Mahaffey, a son of the late Ash Neal and Nora Mae (Roberts) Davidson.

He was a member of Cloe United Methodist Church.

Mr. Davidson was a member of the United States Army, serving during World War II.

On Aug. 28, 1944, he married the former Edith Mae Sndyer, who survives.
He enjoyed woodworking, and he built many things for his home. He also liked to watch sports, especially the Steelers.

He and his wife loved to travel to Florida in the winter months; they spent 14 winters in the south.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one adopted daughter of Michigan; a granddaughter, Diana Jo Smith of Ann Harbor, Mich., and three additional grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Mark and Nicholas Lynn Borgman of Michigan; and one brother, Charles Davidson and wife Helen of Irwin.

Mr. Davidson was preceded in death by a brother, Ash Davidson; two infant brothers; and a sister, Edna.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Paul Thompson.

Interment will follow at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
