Loretta G. Bartasavich, 83

Loretta G. Bartasavich, 83, DuBois, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at her residence.

She was born July 31, 1928, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late John J. and Sara (Taraskiewicz) Guzzy.

Aug. 27, 1949, she married John J. Bartasavich, who preceded her in death Nov. 7, 2006.

She retired as a medical secretary from the DuBois Regional Medical Center after more than 20 years of service.

Mrs. Bartasavich was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Infant of Prague Society.

She was also a member of the Friendly Club.

Surviving relatives include a son; two sisters, Patricia Righi and husband Donald of Ohio, and Rosemarie Cieslak and husband Michael of New York; a brother, Joseph Guzzy of Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Guzzy; and two brothers, James and John Guzzy Jr.

A private viewing will be held at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. David Foradori officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.

Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
