Lloyd F. Stover, 90

Lloyd F. Stover, 90, DuBois, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at the DuBois Nursing Home.

He was born May 25, 1921, in Luthersburg, a son of the late J. Frank and Iva (Marshall) Stover.

Oct. 1, 1949, he married June (Gillung) Stover, who preceded him in death Dec. 18, 1997.

Mr. Stover graduated from Luthersburg High School and joined the U.S. Army Air Force, in which he served during World War II.

He was employed with Rockwell Manufacturing as an electrician until he retired in 1983.

Mr. Stover was a life member of Christ Lutheran Church and served on the board of directors for the church for many years. He was a member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of DuBois No. 521, the DuBois Ministerial Food Pantry, and the American Legion Post 17. He also delivered for Meals on Wheels.

Surviving relatives include a son, Daniel L. Stover and wife Wanda M. of DuBois; and two grandchildren, Jodie Ewall and husband David of Langhorne and Shawna Kennedy and husband Jeff of DuBois.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2011, at the Mohney-Yargar Funeral Chapel, DuBois.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011, at the funeral home with his pastor, the Rev. Katherine Douglass, officiating.

Interment will be in Beechwoods Cemetery, Falls Creek.
