Despite cold temperatures Saturday, the rain held off for the Groundhog Little League's Opening Day, during which every team across six divisions opened its season. One common way to stay warm is to keep moving, and that's exactly what Claira Stephens (pictured here) did in the opening game of the Little League softball schedule between her Blue Jays and the Indians. Stephens, wearing a necessary hooded sweatshirt — an uncommon sight in softball season — stole second base and never stopped running until she made it home, advancing on a pair of overthrows to give her team a 3-0 lead. A summer full of baseball and softball action is under way, and Little League action continues tonight with another full schedule.
