Lisa (Noerr) Rivera, 33

Lisa (Noerr) Rivera, 33, Kearneysville, W. Va., formerly of Punxsutawney, died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Va.

She was born Aug. 10, 1977, a daughter of Harry E. and Carol (Stahlman) Noerr, who survive, of Punxsutawney.

May 5, 2006, she married Daniel R. Rivera, who survives.

She was an elementary school teacher at the Prince William County School District in Virginia.

Mrs. Rivera was a 1995 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School and a 2000 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She obtained her master's degree from Old Dominion University.

After graduation, she taught school and lived with her aunt Judy Stahlman in Cleveland, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and husband, surviving relatives include two daughters, Claire Rivera and Lucy Rivera; a brother, Scott Noerr and wife Heidi of Chardon, Ohio; and a sister, Lori Ebel and husband John of Punxsutawney.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Deeley Funeral Home, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011, at the funeral home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor John Buchmann officiating.

Interment will be at Worthville Cemetery.

The family has suggested that memorials be made to the Rivera children's educational fund, 488 Richwood Hall Rd., Kearneysville, W. Va., 25430.
