Let’s have another look — a ‘Phil’s-eye view’ of Gobbler’s Knob

This view of Gobbler’s Knob on Groundhog Day is not one that even faithful Phil followers have a chance to relish.

The sea of people you see is what Punxsutawney Phil sees when he emerges from his burrow every Feb. 2. The view is just too good not to share.

In fact, Groundhog Club Inner Circle President Bill Deeley said that in his 29 years of making the trek to Gobbler’s Knob, he thinks Sunday’s crowd “was the biggest yet.”

While Phil likely did not want to disappoint his fans, with another big storm forecast for tonight into Wednesday, it seems as though his prognostication — six more weeks of winter — proved to be on the mark once again.
