King, prince will be crowned Thursday

PUNXSUTAWNEY — The Fall 2010 boys’ Kings Court has been selected and includes Devan Neal, Corban Cressley, Jason Fallara, Jordan Mesoraco, Joe Neal and Ian Weaver.

The King and Prince will be announced at the girls’ Powderpuff Football game Thursday.

• Devan Neal, son of Douglas and Jennifer Neal of Punxsutawney, is enrolled in the academic curriculum and plans to major in mathematics/statistics.
He has participated in football and baseball in grades nine through 12; Baseball Association in grade 12; Spanish Club in grade nine; and the Ringgold Methodist Youth Group.

Neal is employed at Jefferson Machine, and his special honors include Legacy Award; People to People in 2010; honor roll in grades nine through 12, and football captain in grade 12.

He studies with Jordan Mesoraco and enjoys spending time with his friends and cousins.

• Corban Cressley, son of Kevin and Heidi Cressley of Rochester Mills, is enrolled in the academic curriculum and plans to attend Liberty University for athletic training.

He has participated in football; basketball; intramurals; student athletic training; Powderpuff coach; Varsity Club; and Bible Club.

Cressley is a member of the First Church of God, and his special honors include Student of the Month, Rotary Boy of the Month and the VFW Americanism Award.

• Jason Fallara, son of Patti and Mike Fallara of Punxsutawney, is enrolled in the academic curriculum and plans to attend Slippery Rock University for athletic training.

He has participated in football; Powderpuff coach; weightlifting; Varsity Club; track; intramurals; and student athletic training. His special honors include being named a Student of the Month.

• Jordan Mesoraco, son of Laura and Doug Mesoraco of Punxsutawney, is enrolled in the academic curriculum and plans to attend college for business.

He has participated in baseball, basketball, intramurals and Baseball Association in grades nine through 12.

Mesoraco is employed at AM-PM Personal Care Home and enjoys hanging out and studying with Devan Neal and playing cards with his friends. He also likes to destroy his brother in backyard baseball.

• Joe D. Neal, son of Lisa Neal of Punxsutawney and the late Joe M. Neal, is enrolled in the academic curriculum and plans to attend The Citadel for criminal justice.

He has participated in indoor and outdoor track and football. He also works out and travels.

Neal’s special honors include being named a Student of the Month.

• Ian Weaver, son of Bill and Becky Weaver, is enrolled in the academic curriculum and plans to attend college to major in sports science and play football.

He has participated in football in grades nine through 12; basketball in grades nine, 11 and 12; and helping with Special Olympics and Varsity Club in grades 11 and 12. His special honors include being named a Student of the Month.
