Kevin D. Hudock, 60, of Oil City, Pa., died Thursday, July 3, 2013, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born on June 17, 1953, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Andrew and Shirley Whitesell Hudock.

Kevin was a 1971 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School and received a bachelor of science degree in engineering from the Pennsylvania State University in 1975.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a certified Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineer for Dowell-Schlumberger.

When diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, Kevin volunteered to participate in cornea research at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institution and in a clinical trial researching new medications for primary progressive MS at the National Institutes of Health.

Kevin is survived by his son, Daniel and wife Heather of Pocatello, Idaho; a granddaughter, Elizabeth, daughter of Matthew and Monica Hetrick of Baltimore, Md.; a sister, Janine Petro and husband Tim of Indiana, Pa.; a brother, David and wife Nina of Fairfax Station, Va.; a sister-in-law, Nancy Hudock of Breinigsville, Pa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as by his brother, A. Ted Hudock, all of Punxsutawney.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the Reinsel Funeral Home, 116 Bissell Ave., Oil City, PA.

Additional visitation will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 564 Colbert Ave., Oil City, PA, one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 20, 2013.

Interment will be at Saint Peter & Saint Paul Cemetary in Punxsutawney.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oil City
