Kenneth L. Dobson, 88

Kenneth L. Dobson, 88, Valier, died Sunday, June 3, 2012, in Johnstown.

He was born Sept. 14, 1923, in Oliveburg, a son of the late Roy and Anna (Himes) Dobson.

March 15, 1947, he married Anita Jane Mahan, who preceded him in death Dec. 3, 1980.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Falls Creek and the American Legion of DuBois.

He was a painter, a farmer, and a truck driver, and he enjoyed being outdoors.

Surviving relatives include two sons, William Dobson and wife Phyllis of Emporium and Fred Dobson and wife Carol of Punxsutawney; a daughter, Kimberly Webb and husband Jason of Oklahoma City, Okla.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Erwin Dobson; and his companion, Isabelle Neal.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brandy Bodenhorn.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2012, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 8, 2012, at the funeral home with Dr. Thomas A. Topar officiating.

Interment will be at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Dobson’s memory to the Brandy Bodenhorn Memorial Scholarship, or to the donor’s choice.
