Kenneth D. Bush, 55

November 7, 2011

Kenneth D. Bush, 55, of Medina, N.Y., entered into rest Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at the Strong Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 4, 1956, in Medina, a son of the late Albert and Blanche (Rice) Bush.

Mr. Bush was a 1974 graduate of Medina High School. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Medina, an avid Jeff Gordon NASCAR fan and a supporter of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres.

He was happiest when he was on the road driving a tractor-trailer while working for five years for Ronson Trucking and 20 years for Tyler Trucking. While on the road, he gathered many stories to share with family, friends and acquaintances.

Survivors include his sister and caretaker, Nancy McHugh of Medina; three brothers, Robert Bush and wife Betty of Lockport, N.Y., Jim Bush and wife Kathy of Elba, N.Y., and David Bush and wife Bobbi of Smiths Grove, Ky.; a sister, Sylvia Perugini and husband Ray of Brewster, N.Y.; two aunts, Lucy Jacobson of Youngstown, Ohio, and Sara Mauk of Haines City, Fla.; many nieces and nephews; dear friends Diana Osher and Connie Kelley; and his two cats, Sandy and Dini.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina, and from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at the Shumaker Funeral Home Inc., 115 E. Union St., Punxsutawney, where a service will be held at noon.

Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery, Ringgold Township.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Medina or Lake Plains Dialysis Center.
