Kenneth C. "K.C." "Ken" Bracken, 35, of Punxsutawney, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, at his home.

Mr. Bracken was born Jan. 9, 1979, in DuBois, a son of the late Kenneth L. "Bear" Bracken and his mother, Tammy Bowser, who survives.

He worked for B & W. Constructors and Equipment as a welder.

He was a graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School and Jeff Tech.

Ken was a good friend and will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, Tammy, and her husband, Steve, he is survived by brothers Jeremey C. Bracken and wife Erica and Justin and Joey Bowser; grandmother Lois K. Miller; nephews Austin, Mason and Aiden; niece Julia; his very special cousins and best friend, Ryan and husband Adam Shuss and their daughter, Lola Jeanmarie; aunts Marie Bennett and husband Ron, and Tracy Brady; and cousins Brandi, Nathan, Danielle and Jacob.

He was preceded in death by grandparents William C. "Clint" and Betty Jean (Strawcutter) Bracken; his grandfather, Harry D. Swisher; his uncle, Harry Daniel Swisher, Jr.; and a niece, Harley Rose Bracken.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at the funeral home with pastor Brian Barrett officiating.

Interment will be private at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
