Kelly Jo Pape, 40

Kelly Jo Pape, 40, of Blairville, died Sunday, July 14, 2013, in Blairsville as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Born June 1, 1973, in Olean, N.Y., a daughter of John Alfred and Elizabeth A. "Dub" (James) Pape, Jr., Kelly was a 1991 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School.

In June of 2013, she earned her MBA in business management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.She was proud to have graduated with a 4.0 GPA, majoring in psychology with a minor in sociology.

Ms. Pape was an entrepreneur. She was the owner of the Stompin Grounds Coffee shop and co-owner of Titan Fitness, both located in Blairsville. She had previously worked as a TSS for Rayne Township School.

She loved her cats, was an advocate of stray and feral cats and was a supporter of Four Footed Friends.

Kelly was loved by all. She had a smile for everybody and would do anything for anybody.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, John A. "Tink" Pape and wife Charlene "Lolly" of Ligonier; two sisters, Tina Blystone and husband Tim and Niki Campbell and husband Carl, all of Punxsutawney; eight nieces and nephews; seven great nieces and nephews;
and her best friend, Tige McAfoos.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A memorial service and luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at McCalmont Township Fire Company, 101 Firehouse Ln., Anita, PA 15711.

Memorial donations may be made in Kelly's memory to Feral Cat Rescue, Inc., P.O. Box 623, Great Mills, MD 20634.
