Katie A. Fisher, 79, of Luthersburg, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at home.

Mrs. Fisher was born April 25, 1933, in Apple Creek, Ohio, a daughter of the late Atlee and Susie (Wengerd) Byler.

She was married to Eli W. Fisher, who preceded her in death.

Surviving relatives include six children, Atlee Fisher and wife Sara Ann of Middlefield, Ohio, Enos Fisher and wife Fannie of Smicksburg, Lester Fisher and wife Nancy of Punxsutawney, Eli Fisher, Jr., and wife Cora of Luthersburg, Susie Patoka of Vandergrift, and Emma Miller and husband Kenny of Middlefield, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Amanda Fisher of Punxsutawney; five brothers and five sisters; 48 grandchildren; and 82 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, William Fisher; a brother; and a sister.

Friends will be received today and Thursday, March 14, 2013, at 1986 Shamokin Trail, Luthersburg.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, at 1986 Shamokin Trail, Luthersburg.

Interment will be at the Troutville Amish Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.
