Kathryn E. Misiewicz, 95

Kathryn E. Misiewicz, 95, of DuBois, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at the DuBois Nursing Home.

She was born Nov. 6, 1917, in Rochester Mills, Pa., the daughter of the late William & Mary (Matsko) Struk.

On July 27, 1957, she married Joseph P. Misiewicz. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2004.

She was a homemaker and had previously worked for the DuBois Area School District in the cafeteria.

Kathryn was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Infant of Prague Society and had volunteered at the St. Michael Polish Festival for many years.

She was cared for locally by her only surviving sister, Margaret J. Petrick of DuBois; her nephew, Joseph W. Petrick and wife Julia and daughter Melina of Falls Creek; and her niece, Jeanne Kolash and husband Michael of DuBois.

She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013, at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

The Rosary will be prayed on Sunday at 12:45 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, with Fr. Matias M. Quinmo as celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.

Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
