Karen Elaine Deats, 52, DuBois, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, at DuBois Regional Medical Center, DuBois.

She was born Sept. 29, 1958, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Leroy and Lois (Peace) Cressley.

Ms. Deats was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Big Run.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Rebecca Milliron and husband Dallas of Punxsutawney, and Judy Deats of Punxsutawney; and three grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Cressley.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Andrew W. Cressman officiating.

Interment will be in the McClure Cemetery, Big Run.
