It was the perfect day to enjoy some free swimming and some entertainment, as the official Duck Derby benefitting SPLASH began at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

More than 500 plastic ducks were dumped into the George C. Brown Pool and had to make their way across the water to the finish line.

Helping them along were a couple of lifeguards and volunteers, as many onlookers crowded around the pool and waited in anticipation to learn the winners.

Sixteen prizes were awarded, with the top prize being $500.
