June Bianco, 88

June Bianco, 88, Sharpsville, formerly of Sharon, passed away peacefully of natural causes with her family at her side Thursday, June 23, 2011, at the Critical Care Unit at UPMC Horizon Hospital, Farrell.
Mrs. Bianco was born June 10, 1923, in Walston, the daughter of the late Grover and Verda Jane (Siverling) Haag.

May 21, 1941, she married Peter J. Bianco, who preceded her in death Feb. 5, 2001.

Mrs. Bianco graduated from Punxsutawney High School. In 1954 at the age of 33, she moved to the Shenango Valley area.

A homemaker, she worked for the Sharon City School District for 20 years in the cafeteria and retired in 1984.

She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka — Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Sharon.

Mrs. Bianco enjoyed playing cards and bingo, working puzzle books, and knitting and crocheting white baby-sized afghans for family and friends for Holy Christenings.

A wonderful cook, she loved making meatballs and sauce for spaghetti dinners on Sundays, baking bread, cookies and Easter Bread and preparing all the fish for the traditional Christmas Eve dinner.

She enjoyed spending time with her family at the family camp, “All in the Family,” in Marienville.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Patrice J. Palmer and husband Jeffery of Hermitage; a son, Peter P. Bianco and companion Ned Seeger of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Woodrow of Seattle and Connie Means of Columbia, Mo.; four grandchildren, Tyler Palmer and wife Sarah, Cameron Palmer, Deborah Earl and fiancé Charles Gulland, and Wayne J. Chamberlain and wife Coleen; three great-grandchildren, Courtney and Zachary Savchuk and Anthony Parsch; and a son-in-law, Wayne Chamberlain.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Bianco was preceded in death by two daughters, Loretta Chamberlain and Deborah Bianco; a son, Francis Bianco; three brothers, Richard, Lee and Grover Haag; four sisters, Eleanor “Winnie” Whitfield, Bertha “Buddy” Brickel, Edna McDonald and Martha “Marty” Magill; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon Monday, June 27, 2011, in St. Stanislaus Kostka — Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Sharon, with the Rev. Stanley J. Swacha officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Interment will be at St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Hermitage.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Sharon.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at UPMC Horizon Hospital, specifically the Critical Care Unit, for their care and compassion shown towards their mother.
