Joyce L. Keeler, 74

Joyce L. Keeler, 74, of Garnerville, N.Y., and Ballston Spa, N.Y., went to be with her Lord Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at her daughter’s home in Ballston Spa.

She was born June 9, 1937, in Camden, N.J., a daughter of the late Rev. Jesse and Edith (Oberholtzer) Stayer.

She was married to Harry E. Keeler, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Keeler was a graduate of Collegeville Trappe High School and attended Millersville College.

She worked for many years in real estate and property management. She retired in 2001 as executive director of Indian River Estates in Vero Beach, Fla.

Mrs. Keeler enjoyed traveling, reading and the ocean. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Kathleen Rabideau and husband Dan of Ballston Spa, and Wendi Sayre and husband Jim of Garnerville; two grandchildren, Tyler and Alexa Sayre; a sister, Edith Marie Hinkle of Smicksburg; a brother-in- law, George Petsock of Camp Hill; two nieces, Cynthia Chambers and husband Tim, and Marie Deissroth and husband Edward; and three nephews, Jared Clemmer III and wife Mary, Barry Nettles and Robert Nettles. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ida May Petsock.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at the Christ Episcopal Church, West High Street, Ballston Spa.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, N.Y. 12866.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Armer Funeral Home Inc., Ballston Spa.
