Joy Aileen Marley, 60

February 13, 2014

Joy Aileen Marley, 60, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014.

She passed peacefully in her own home, surrounded by family.

She was born Nov. 8, 1953, in Weirton, W.V., the daughter of Ernest and Joyce (Cribbs) Edelman, and is survived by her husband of 40 years, Fred Marley; her two daughters, Rachel Himes and Amanda Marley; and three granddaughters, Jasmine, Ariel and Bella Himes.

She is also survived by two sisters, Gaylind Adams and Lea Lester and their children, Kelly Luikart Hess and Nathan Luikart, Geneva Lester Nagilla and Von Lester; as well as her great-nephew, Brody Hess.

Joy was the director of the We Care Pregnancy Center — a role she proudly filled and that richly blessed her life, both because of the work it allowed her to do and the relationships it allowed her to build.

Her home church was New Life Fellowship of Timblin, where she also served as treasurer.

Joy's greatest delights were her husband, her children and her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by each one of them.

Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, where a funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. with the Rev. David Stonbraker of New Life Fellowship
officiating.

She will be laid to rest with her parents in Blairsville.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to We Care, P.O. Box 51, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

Online condolences may be made at mccabefuneralhomes.com.
