Josephine Beyo, 92

Josephine Beyo, 92, Punxsutawney, died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Wellington Heights.

She was born Oct. 27, 1918, in Rossiter, the daughter of the late Nicola and Bisolina (DelPrincipe) Finamore.

In August 1953, she married Michael B. Beyo, who preceded her in death.
Although born in Rossiter, Mrs. Beyo was raised in Pescasseroli, Italy. She returned to the United States in 1939.

Mrs. Beyo was a seamstress at Pramco in Punxsutawney. She was also the co-owner of Beyo's Keystone Service Station in Punxsutawney.

She was a member of Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church, Punxsutawney, and a member of the Rosary Altar Society.

She enjoyed sewing, bird watching and was a second mother to her nieces and nephews.

Surviving relatives include numerous nieces and nephews, including Anthony F. Test and wife Grace of Punxsutawney, and Elenor Camerata and husband Phil of Silver Lake, Ohio.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Emerick Finamore.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at SS.C.D, with the Rev. Msgr. Joseph J. Riccardo officiating.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

Funeral plans are under the direction of the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
