Joline C. Pifer, 80, DuBois, formerly of Punxsutawney, died Monday, March 7, 2011, at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.

She was born Jan. 3, 1931, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Willis and Dorothy (Anderson) McGee.

Mrs. Pifer was a member of the Woodland Avenue United Methodist Church and was a 1949 graduate of Punxsutawney High School.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Lou Uberti and husband Mike of Punxsutawney; two sons, Jeffrey Pifer and wife Colleen of Big Run, and John Pifer and wife Linda of Reynoldsville; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Snyder) Burkett, Joshua Snyder, Leslie Pifer, Emily Pifer, Katie Pifer, Autumn (Pifer) Rheaume, Amber Pifer and Lacey Pifer; two great-grandchildren, Collin and Ryan Burkett; two step-grandchildren, Zita and Sasha Uberti; two step-great-grandchildren, Maverick and Zachary; a brother, Jack McGee and wife Maxine of Punxsutawney; and a sister-in-law, Betty McGee of Punxsutawney.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pifer was preceded in death by a brother, James McGee; her husband, Russell Pifer; and her fiancé, Tony Goyette.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church, Punxsutawney, with Pastor Al Kimmel officiating.
Interment will be in the Cloe Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Manor or the Woodland Avenue United Methodist Church.
