John M. Hollenbaugh, 89

John M. Hollenbaugh, 89, Punxsutawney, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at his daughter’s home in Creedmoor, Texas.

He was born Jan. 3, 1922, in Panic, a son of the late Eli and Mabel (Hayes) Hollenbaugh.

Mr. Hollenbaugh was married to Grace E. Dinger, who preceded him in death June 18, 2008.

He was a member of the United States Army, having served in World War II.

Mr. Hollenbaugh was a member of the Dora Evangelical Church.

He enjoyed woodworking and was a general contractor.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Nancy Snyder and husband Richard of Creedmoor, Texas, and Pat McLaughlin of DuBois; three sisters, Esther Brestovich of DuBois, Doris Thunburg of Beaver and Frances Fisher of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; a brother, Al Lee Hollenbaugh of Punxsutawney; six grandchildren, Tammy and Ricky Snyder, Marsha Schroeder, Michael and Mark McLaughlin and Melissa McCleary; and four great-grandchildren, Krystin and Taylor Snyder, and Matthew and Makaya McLaughlin.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Luella Whitesell; two brothers, David and Toby Hollenbaugh; and an infant brother.

Arrangements are incomplete and under the direction of the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
