John (Jack) L. Jordan, 76

John (Jack) L. Jordan, 76, Erie, formerly of Punxsutawney, died Monday, May 30, 3011, at the Golden Rehab Living Center, Erie.

He was born Dec. 31, 1934, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late U.D. and Margaret Irene (Heitzenrater) Jordan.

Mr. Jordan was a member of Presbyterian Church of Punxsutawney. He was retired from Community Action and The Punxsutawney Spirit.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Lauri Jewell and husband Jonathan of Erie, Marci Stahlman and David Stahlman of Erie; a son, John L. Jordan Jr. and wife Kathy of Knotts Island, N.C.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his best friend, Joyce Thomas of Punxsutawney; and his ex-wife, Nancy Shaw-Jordan of Erie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, a twin infant brother at birth and Harry Jordan, and an infant son, Joseph D. Jordan.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Brett Swanson officiating.

Interment will be at Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
