John Fortsch, 69

John F. Fortsch, 69, of Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at DuBois Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Fortsch was born Nov. 8, 1943, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Clarence J. Fortsch and Sara (Benson) Fortsch.

He is survived by his brothers, Thomas Fortsch and wife Gladys of Tennessee and Conrad Fortsch and wife Bonnie of Punxsutawney; his step-sisters, Karen McCauley of Punxsutawney, Barbara Black and husband Stanley of Punxsutawney and Patricia Manucha and husband Edward of New York; long-time companion Ken J. Stubbs of DuBois; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Ann Fortsch.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the McCabe Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A blessing service will be held at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
