John “Pat” Nadji, 66

John “Pat” Nadji, 66, Pifer Street, DuBois, died Sunday, March 2, 2014, at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Shadyside in Pittsburgh.

Born March 16, 1947, in DuBois, he was the son of the late John & Genevieve (Duffalo) Nadji.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam War.

On July 12, 1968, he married Rebecca “Becky” (Ball) Nadji. She survives.

After 30 years of service, he retired from the United Parcel Service (UPS).

He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church.

He was also a member of the DuBois Country Club and the Sykesville Eagles Aerie No. 4454. He was a past member of the former Moose Club in DuBois.

John was also the long-time manager of Triangle Springs DuBois Little League Team. He enjoyed golfing and hunting. He was an avid Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan.

In addition to his wife, Becky, he is survived by his children, Kimberly Van Horn and husband Timothy of Bradford, Pa., and Chad Nadji and wife Mary Ann of Brockway; and a sister, Carol Nadji of DuBois.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home, DuBois.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Kresinski and Fr. Matias Quimno co-celebrating.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
