Joel William Riggleman, 18

Joel William Riggleman, 18, Punxsutawney, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

He was born Dec. 16, 1992 in Punxsutawney, a son of Drinda Sue (Stuchell) Smith and husband Brian of Punxsutawney, and Mitchell Allen Riggleman and wife Mary Beth of Trafford.

Mr. Riggleman was a 2011 graduate of PunxsutawneyArea High School and attended the Christian Missionary Alliance Church.

He was employed by 5 Star Frac Support Service.  He was a hard worker and spent a lot of time working.

Mr. Riggleman liked to laugh and enjoyed the company of his friends and music.  He liked his Cadillac car, as “only the best” would do.

In 2006, he traveled to Israel with his grandmother, Bonnie Stuchell, and for his senior project, he painted the walls of the Rainbow Express Nursery.

In addition to his parents, surviving relatives include by two brothers, Caleb Neal Riggleman of Punxsutawney, and Christopher Riggleman; three sisters, Mollie Elizabeth Smith and Mercy Briana Smith, both of Punxsutawney, and Rosie Riggleman of Trafford; his maternal grandmother, Bonnie Stuchell of Punxsutawney; his step-grandparents, Ray and Irene Smith of Hamiliton; five uncles, Denny Stuchell and wife Cindy of Pittsburgh, and Tim Smith and wife Nancy of Punxsutawney, and Madison, Dale and Ralph Riggleman.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Luke Brian Smith; his grandfather, William Stuchell; his uncle, Jonathan Stuchell, and his paternal grandparents, Sarah and Dale Riggleman.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Punxsutawney, with Pastor John Buchmann officiating.

Interment will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

Memorial donations may be made in Joel’s memory to the CMA Youth or Rainbow Express Nursery, 1307 South Main St. Ext., Punxsutawney, Pa. 15767, or to the Joel Riggleman Scholarship fund at County National Bank.
