JLSB States Friday slate wiped out by rain

Punxsy's Junior League softball All-Stars were scheduled to play Kingston/Forty Fort at 6 p.m. on Friday in the third game of the day at the state tournament in Berwick, Pa. However, persistent rain fall that didn't end until mid-afternoon wiped the full three-game slate clean and caused some re-scheduled games.

Punxsy will now play Kingston/Forty Fort at 4 p.m. on Saturday, with various other changes in the schedule meaning the knockout round finals will likely be moved to Sunday, along with the championship round.

Saturday's schedule is now as follows:
-- Saturday, Noon (Knockout): Fairchance vs. Morrisville
-- Saturday, 2 p.m. (Knockout): New Bethlehem vs. Roosevelt Trail
-- Saturday, 4 p.m. (Winners' final): Punxsy vs. Kingston/Forty Fort
-- Saturday, 6 p.m. (Knockout): Winners of the noon and 2 p.m. games

Sunday's schedule will see the knockout round final be played at noon, with the championship game set for 3 p.m. and the if-necessary game to be played at 6 p.m. (if necessary, obviously).
