Jeffrey (Petey) S. Peterman Sr., 39, Punxsutawney,died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at home after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was born Nov. 30, 1972, in Indiana, a son of Margaret Diane (Peterman) Anderson, who survives, of Punxsutawney.

Mr. Peterman was a roofer.

He was a member of the Punxsutawney FOE, the American Legion and the Walston Club.

In addition to his mother, surviving relatives include a daughter, Natasha Davis of Summerville; a son, Jeffrey Peterman Jr. of Summerville; a brother, Kenneth Anderson of Punxsutawney; and three sisters, Christina States, Patricia Latta and Stacy Mehalic, all of Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney, with the Rev. Matthew Peachey officiating.

Interment will be at Hopewell Cemetery, Frostburg.
