On Monday, Jeff Tech hosted nine District SkillsUSA competitions.

Clearfield CCTC was the main hosting school for the year, so most of the students from Jeff Tech went there to compete.

However, Jeff Tech played host to the competitions for automotive service technology, building maintenance technology, commercial baking, crime scene investigation, criminal justice, customer service, precision machining and technical drafting.

Pictured (from left) are the Jeff Tech medalists from each of the competitions, including: (front row) Shawn Nelen, 1st place in precision machining; Jasmine Smith, 1st place in commercial baking; Courtney McClusky, 1st place in customer service;

(second row) the team of Aryn Beichner, Amber Metts and Harley Shields, 2nd place in crime scene investigation;

(third row) the team of Adam Walters, Michael Williams and Darren Bergreen, 1st place in crime scene investigation;

(fourth row) Justin Gooden, 1st place in criminal justice; Chad Llewellyn, 3rd place in criminal justice;

(back) and Lance Neal, 1st place in building maintenance technology.

Not pictured is Jeff Tech student Jesse Leavens, who took 1st place in technical drafting.
