Jean Douthit, 80, Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at the Golden Living Center in Shippenville.

She was born Aug. 17, 1930, a daughter of the late Carlton and Jane (Lewis) Reitz.

She was married to Howard Douthit, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Douthit was a member of the Cloe United Methodist Church.

Surviving relatives include a son, Richard Douthit and wife Cheryl of Shippenville; a daughter, Debra Molloy and husband Andrew of Syracuse, N.Y.; a daughter-in-law, Ramona Douthit of Chesapeake, Va.; two brothers, Delbert Reitz of Punxsutawney and Willard Reitz of McMurray; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Howard Douthit of Chesapeake, Va.; two brothers, Quay and Seiler Reitz of Punxsutawney; and three sisters, Hazel Wesnitzer of Cleveland, Ohio, and Luetta Curtis and JoAnn White of Punxsutawney.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at the Cloe United Methodist Church with Pastor Paul Thompson officiating.

Interment will be in Lakelawn Cemetery, Reynoldsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Asera Care Hospice in Brookville.
