Jared Wm. Clemmer, Jr., 84

Jared Wm. Clemmer, Jr., 84, of Barto, companion of Helen Faust, died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at his residence.

Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Jared W. Clemmer Sr. and Bertha (Kramer) Clemmer.

He served in the Army during the Korean War.

Jared worked for Merck Sharp and Dohme, most of his life as a truck driver, retiring at age 63.

Jared is well known in the community for his beautiful farm and his many "creatures."

Surviving are his companion of 30 years, Helen Faust of Boyertown; one son, Jared Wm. Clemmer III, husband of Mary of Punxsutawney; one daughter, Cindy Chambers, wife of Tim of Punxsutawney; two sisters, Margaret Geiges of Schwenksville and Diane Clemmer of Florida; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Jane Wayland and Betty Myers; and two grandsons, Jared and Jason Clemmer.

A private memorial service will be held at his farm at a later date.

There will be no viewing.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to a pet rescue center of your choice.
