Janet M. Seger, 78, Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center, Punxsutawney.

She was born Dec. 13, 1932, in Smicksburg, a daughter of the late Virgil Stiteler and Bessie (Gray) Stiteler.

She was married to Ronald Seger, who survives.

Mrs. Segar worked as a seamstress at Pramco, and at Punxsutawney Sportswear and Ideal Products in Sykesville.

She was a member of Rossiter United Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her husband, surviving relatives include a daughter, Pam Rake and husband Ted of Punxsutawney; four sisters, Barbara Sutter of Rossiter, Virginia Seger and husband Charles of Punxsutawney, Ruth Buzzard and husband Paul of Dayton, and Jean Gray of Indiana; two brothers, Kenneth and wife Mim Stiteler of Smicksburg, and Rubert and wife Ann Stiteler of Smicksburg; three sisters-in-law, Bonnie Stiteler of Monaca, Lois Stiteler of Climax, N.Y., and Bessie Stiteler of Honesdale; three grandchildren, Phillip Carcella, Lacey Shaffer, and Todd Carcella; three step-great-grandchildren, Kaylee Carcella, Jonna Kunselman, and Brenden Kunselman; and 27 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Malvern, Keith and Walter Stiteler; and a sister, Dorethy Stiteler.

Friends will be received until the time of service today at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tim Bowser officiating.

Interment will be in Pearce Cemetery.
